Thank you to Lake Hills’ youth for sharing their talent and leading us in worship today. A special thanks to the youth leaders: High School – Kelly & Tressa Farr and Taylor & Erin Williams; Middle School – Beth Wells and Kimberly Trotter.

The Enrichment Dinner will be Sunday, March 4, at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The speaker this year is Dr. Farris Jordan, a native Knoxvillian and Young High graduate. Come enjoy Dr. Jordan’s inspiring and humorous experiences.Tickets are available from the Christian Education Committee or the church office: $20 for adults, and $8 for children. Note: Thursday, March 1 is the deadline to purchase dinner tickets.

Enrichment dinner

Enrichment Dinner – Farris Jordan

Tickets are being sold for the Enrichment Dinner on March 4. The cost for the dinner is $20 ($8 for elementary age children) and will provide you with a great meal catered by The Entertainer and a wonderful program by Dr. Farris Jordan. Dr. Jordan is a native South Knoxvillian and has worked for many years as a motivational and inspirational speaker. Through the use of humor Dr. Jordan manages to capture the attention of his audience. Please invite a friend and join us for this event.

Coffee Mugs Needed

Hey Everyone! Linda McCurry has asked us to spread the word. She is collecting coffee mugs for John Knox Center (theirs seem to "walk away"). If you have any mugs you can donate please bring them to church and put them in the box in the hall by the coffee maker. Thanks!

Pancake Breakfast Invitation

Lake Hills’ Christian Education Committee invites everyone to the annual Pancake Breakfast this coming Sunday, February 12 at 8:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. The menu is homemade pancakes, sausage, bacon, sweet rolls, juice & milk. The cost is $3.00 a person ($2.00 for 3-10 year olds; children under 3 are free) – you won’t find a better bargain anywhere! Mark you calendars and come enjoy the food and fellowship!

The Session has called a Congregational Meeting, to follow the worship service today, to approve terms of call for the Pastor for 2012, to elect two at-large members of the Nominating Committee, and to hold our Annual Corporation Meeting.

Are you Ready for a Night Out? There’s Free Babysitting at Lake Hills this Saturday Feb. 11, 5:00-9:00 p.m. by Lake Hills’ Middle School Youth & Leaders, for children up to 10 years of age!

Everyone is invited to a Pancake Breakfast next Sunday, Feb. 12, 8:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Prices are $3 each, $2 for children 3-10 years old, children 2 and under are free. Come enjoy a delicious breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage, sweet rolls, juice and milk.
